This Privacy Policy explains how EqB7OkX23, a company incorporated under the laws of the Principality of Andorra, NRT Lx-97k124a258z4w-3H, registered office at Apartat de correus 1033, AD500 Andorra la Vella, Principality of Andorra (“EqB7OkX23”, “we”, “us”), processes personal data in connection with the NowAbout.me website, mobile applications and related services (the “Service”). EqB7OkX23 is the data controller.

We respect your privacy and process personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) where it applies to you, and the Andorran Qualified Law 29/2021 of 28 October on the protection of personal data. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service.
1. Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the Service, we process:
- Account data — name, username, email address, date of birth (to verify the 18+ age requirement), language, country and a securely hashed password.
- Profile data — bio, interests, social and external links, vanity handle, profile and cover images, albums, stories and captions you choose to publish.
- Media — images, voice messages and other files you upload. Media files are stored in dedicated object storage, not in our primary database.
- Communications — messages, reactions and attachments you exchange with other members, and messages you send to support.
- QR and scan data — codes linked to your account and scan events (time and approximate, coarse location of a scan). Public web scans of your code are recorded without identifying the visitor; in-app scan identity follows your and the scanner’s privacy settings.
- Transaction data — subscriptions, store orders and payouts. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers and the Apple App Store / Google Play; we do not receive or store full card numbers. We store payment references, plan, amounts, order and shipping details, and your wallet/commission ledger.
- Referral and payout data — referral codes, attribution of accounts you refer, commissions, and the payout details (e.g. bank/payment-account identifier) you provide when cashing out, plus information needed to verify them and meet legal obligations.
- Technical data — device push tokens, app/version and device information, IP address (for security, rate-limiting and abuse prevention) and server logs.
2. Purposes and legal bases
- Performance of a contract — to create and operate your account, profile, scans, messaging, subscriptions, store orders and payouts.
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms, debug, and produce aggregate, non-identifying statistics. We balance these against your rights.
- Consent — for optional features such as push notifications and optional visibility settings; you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
- Legal obligation — to keep accounting, tax and transaction records and to respond to lawful requests.
3. Who we share data with
Your public profile is shown to registered members according to your visibility settings, and a limited teaser (display name, avatar, link/photo counts) is shown to anyone who scans your code on the web. We disclose personal data only to recipients needed to run the Service, acting as our processors or where legally required: cloud hosting and storage providers; payment and app-store providers; print-on-demand and shipping partners (name and delivery address for merch orders); email and push-notification providers; and professional advisers, insurers or authorities where necessary to comply with the law, exercise or defend legal claims, or protect the Service and its users. We do not sell your personal data.
4. International transfers
EqB7OkX23 is established in Andorra, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection (Decision 2010/625/EU), so transfers of personal data between the EEA and Andorra are permitted on that basis. Where a recipient processes data outside the EEA or Andorra, we rely on an adequacy decision or on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Retention
We keep account and profile data while your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, media, messages and QR links are deleted or irreversibly anonymised within 30 days, except where we must retain certain data longer — in particular transaction, tax and accounting records (kept for the periods required by law), and data needed to prevent fraud, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Stories expire automatically after 24 hours. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis.
6. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, hashing of passwords, access controls and segregation of media storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
7. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, to object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to withdraw consent. You can exercise the main rights directly in the app: Settings → Download my data (export) and Settings → Delete my account (permanent deletion), or by contacting privacy@nowabout.me. We will respond within the period required by law (normally one month). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Andorra, the Agència Andorrana de Protecció de Dades (APDA), or, if you are in the EEA, your local data-protection authority.
8. Minimum age
The Service is intended only for individuals aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; registration verifies the date of birth and underage accounts are refused. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact privacy@nowabout.me and we will delete it.
9. Cookies and local storage
We use strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to remember preferences such as language. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can clear this data via your browser or device settings; disabling strictly necessary storage may prevent the Service from working.
10. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing. We use automated checks to detect fraud and abuse; where these affect your account you may contact us to request human review.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The version published on this website (www.nowabout.me) is the current and binding version and applies from the date it is posted, shown as the “Effective date” above. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically; your continued use of the Service after a revised version is published constitutes acceptance.
